Our Saturday Religious Education Program serves an average of 250 students yearly. Classes take place on Saturday mornings, from 9.30 to 11.30 and run from September to May.
The program serves students from 1st to 10th grade. It is a program of continuing faith formation: students attend classes according to their age, and are expected to continue attending classes after they've celebrated their First Communion, up to their Confirmation. Once they are confirmed, students are invited to Saint Ita's youth group, and to continue helping out in the Saturday program.
Classes are taught by experienced volunteers in compliance with the Archdiocese of Chicago's Protection of Children and Youth requirements.
Inquiries and applications to be a catechist or helper are welcome 773-561-5343.
